Bernice Marie McClelland, 92, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Parkersburg Care Center.She was born November 7, 1923 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Monteville L. and Lillie May Agnes Ward Campbell. Bernice was born of the Christian faith.She was a 1941 graduate of Parkersburg High and had worked in retail sales at J.C. Penny in Cleveland and at the former Diamond Department Store at the Grand Central Mall.She enjoyed Bingo and working with crafts, particularly plastic canvas, and knitting.She was quite accomplished with Christmas crafts and worked throughout the year in preparation for that special day. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Cain (Ed) of Boaz and Lu Fundzak (Dennis) of Brunswick, Ohio; one son, Edward L. McClelland (Terri) of Lakewood, Ohio;two step-children, Paul Richard McClelland, Jr. and Kathy Cardaman, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, Glen Campbell (Mary Ann) of Berkley Heights, N.J.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2011 by her husband, Paul Richard McClelland; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.Pastor Rick Kapple will officiate and interment will be in the Evergreen North Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. The family thanks the staff at Parkersburg Care Center and Wyngate for the excellent care they provided their mother.
