Darlene Elizabeth Brand

Darlene Elizabeth Brand, 73, of Washington, West Virginia, passed away at Waterview Pointe, Marietta, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Robert and Olive Vaughan Carson. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Cleston “Bing” Brand; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Martin and Shirley Yarborough.

Darlene was mother who dearly loved caring for her family. She will be carried in the hearts of her sons, JR Brand, Kevin Brand (Kelli Higgins), and Robert Brand (Mary); grandchildren, Micah Brand, Colt Brand, Connor Brand, Brianna Higgins, Angela Smith, Michael Modesitt, and Matthew Brand; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Potts, Novah Potts, Carlee Moran, Wrenley Smith, and Miles Modesitt; brother, Gary Carson; and additional loved one, Billie Swisher.

No public visitation or service will be conducted. Her family will mourn her passing in private.
