David Allen Haught

David A. Haught, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Ravenswood, a son of the late Reverend Woodrow and Dorothy Ables Haught.

David graduated from Bruce High School in Westernport, Maryland Class of 1971, and went on to be owner and operator of David’s Excellence of Hairstyling. He had a talented expertise for all beautiful things and loved decorating his home, especially at Christmas time. He also enjoyed gardening and lawncare. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Parkersburg Choral Society for several years.

Those remaining to carry his memory include his sister, Carol Booth of Peterstown, WV; brothers, Danny M. Haught (Sharon) of Winfield, WV and Stephen M. Haught (Melinda) of Saint Marys, WV; sister-in-law, Kay Haught of West Union, WV; caregiver and companion, James Blevins of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary L. Haught and Melvin L. Haught, and brother-in-law, Roger L. Booth.

There will be no public visitation or service. Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist with final arrangements.
