Delora Eloise Hall Dent

Delora Eloise Hall Dent, 91, of Parkersburg, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born in Cameron, West Virginia, and was a daughter of the late Howard A. and Bertha E. McCartney Hall.

Delora was a member of Red Hill United Methodist Church where, prior to his death in 2008, she attended with her husband, Retis D. Dent. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Harold Hall, Virginia Cox, Betty McGuiness, Jean Thorn, and her twin-sister, Dorothy Marshall.

Her memory will be carried in the hearts of her loved ones, including her children, daughter, Camilla “Beth” Walker; daughter by choice, Rochelle Boggs; stepchildren, Greg Dent (Kyla), Brenda Chambers (Mark), Gloria Sellers, and Brian Dent; sister, Carolyn Burkhamer (Marvin); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her special pet companion, Harper.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Reverend Mary Zimmer officiating. Interment in Veto Cemetery will follow. Her family will receive friends noon until time of service Tuesday.
