Don Heath

Don Heath, 88, of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away at home with his loving family beside him on Monday, August 3, 2026.

He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late John William Heath, Sr. and Juanita Eva Ratliff Heath.

Don served proudly in the United States Marine Reserves and had retired from People’s Cartage. He had worked on drilling boats in the Great Lakes and for several trucking companies. Don was a member of the Marine Corps League Wood County Detachment #1087, American Legion, Eagles, and Moose Lodge 118.

He loved football, especially WVU, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, but his true love was his daughter and grandchildren.

His legacy will be carried in the hearts of those he left behind, including daughter, Tracy Lynch (Dan Righter); granddaughter, Tara Stewart (Bobby); step-granddaughter, Nikki Lynch; son-in-law, Guy E. Lynch; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Quinn Stewart; brother, Richard Heath; sisters-in-law, Susan Hite and Dixie Heath; nieces and nephew including Lisa Satterlee (Chad), Ronald Heath Jr. (Kim), Pamela Schnell (Terry Drennen), Teresa Ridgeway, John Heath (Carolyn), and Donald Heath (Heather); great-niece, Samantha Semanek (Nick); great great-niece, Skylar Semanek; several other nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Lulu who was constantly by his side.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Judy D. Biram Heath; mother-in-law, Virginia Biram; father-in-law, Ross Biram; brother, Ronald Heath; sisters-in-law, Carolyn VanMeter and Shyrlene Heath; brother-in-law, Randall Hite; and niece, Tammy Roughton.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to Don's caregiver, Barb Hite, and to Amedisys Hospice for the excellent care and compassion given to Don and his family.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marines and American Legion Post 15. A time of visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home.
