Elizabeth Eunice Holbert

Elizabeth Eunice Holbert, 103, of Rockport, W.Va., passed away December 13, 2015, at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1912 at Rockport, a daughter of the late Elbert and Myrtle Burdette Hale. She was a Methodist by faith and was a wonderful homemaker who loved her family. Elizabeth is survived by her three sons, Paul E. (Barb) Holbert of Pettyville, Harold B. (Pat) Holbert of Rockport and Chester L. (Patty) Holbert of Rockport; two daughters, Nina M. Smith of Elizabeth and Juanita F. (Lee) Buckbee of Rockport; one brother, Jim Hale of Barlow, Ohio; two sisters, Doris Moyers of Parkersburg and Georgia Wilson of Miami, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Holbert; two sons Carol Holbert and Emil D. Holbert; three brothers, "Pete" Wilson Hale, Walter Hale and John Hale; three sisters, Lillian Gates, Mary McPeek and Lena Eaton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Memorial donations may be made to Housecalls Hospice. The family wishes to express thanks to the Housecalls Hospice and also the fifth floor nurses, at Camden Clark Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Lloyd Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home.
