Gloria P. Rush

Gloria P. Rush, 89, of Parkersburg, W.Va.passed away at her home with family by her side on Friday, December 19, 2014. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio July 4, 1925 and was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, Edward and Pauline Hebenthal who preceded her in death. Mrs. Rush had been a member for over sixty years of Laureate Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patti L. Golden and husband, Arthur "Butch" Golden, of Parkersburg and Robin A. Knotts and husband, Stan, of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Jami Golden and wife, Katie, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Jason Golden of Parkersburg and Tank Knotts and wife, April, of Parkersburg; and one great-granddaughter, Kylie Nicole Golden, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Spychalski and his nurse, Angie, and also a special friend to the family, Cassie Geer.The personal care given by Nancy Golden Hall and Nancy Whitlatch will always be remembered. Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, James E. Rush in 2003. Funeral services will be conducted 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg with Reverend Tom Stevens officiating.Interment will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery.Friends will be received at the funeral home from 5-8 P.M.
