Lewvon Hall, born on September 25, 1936, in Birch River, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and loving spirit touched countless lives.
Lewvon deeply loved her family, friends, and animals. She enjoyed being out and about, spending time with those she loved, and never met a stranger. Over the years, she formed many cherished friendships through the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and American Legion, where she looked forward to weekly gatherings and events. She loved tending to her garden well into her 80s, going out to eat with family and friends, cooking large meals for everyone she loved, and spending time at yard sales searching for the “steal of the day.” She especially loved having her family gather to help make her famous pickle beans and pickle corn each year, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. She also enjoyed heading to the hills to pick ramps and greens, a tradition that brought her great joy and connected her to her West Virginia roots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Audra Frame Crites; her siblings, Barbara, Jack, Carroll, and Junnie; and her great-great-grandson, Colter Ross.
Lewvon is survived by her son, Dana (Jennifer) Hall, and daughter, Jackie Sue Sprouse; her siblings, Virginia, Charlotte, Rose, Sally, Kathy, Cindy, Larry, Allen, Leon, Robert, Denver, and Don; her grandchildren, Becky (Travis) Alloway, Jeremy (Jessica) Hall, Rachiel Wallcutt, and Amy (Jeremy) Dearth; her great-grandchildren, Austin (Kylie) Ross, Katelyn Alloway, Landon, Branson, Sophie Hall, Shyanne, Bryon, Alex, Kelsey, Dalton, Casey, Tyler, and Alyssa; and her great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Ross and Roselyn.
Lewvon will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her delicious home-cooked meals, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love, friendship, and family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A gathering of family and friends will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
