Martha June Mettler

Martha June Mettler, 93, of Parkersburg passed away peacefully April 14, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born January 19, 1923 in Wood County, WV to the late GeorgeWells and Josi Bennett Henrie.She was a Methodist by Faith and was a homemaker.She was a lifetime member of the VFW, and especially enjoyed playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus, her family, crocheting and her special dog Gi-Gi. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Arnold of Parkersburg and Barbara Sharp of Sharon, Pennsylvania, 10 grandchildren, Tammy, Deborah, Jackie, Sheila, Michael, Randy, June, Pauline, James and Loretta, 29 great-grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Mettler, two sisters, Bertha Stone and Ann Harnest, 2 grandsons, Steven Brunty and Stanley Barker. Memorial Donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service for Martha on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Justin Enoch officiating.Visitation will also be on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, WV.
