Nancy Lynn Board VanMeter

March 31, 1964 — February 9, 2026

Mineral Wells, West Virginia

Nancy Lynn Board VanMeter, 61, of Mineral Wells, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of Opie “Dick” Board and the late Vera L. Tennant Board.

Nancy was a “Jack of All Trades” and able to morph into any required role. She spent many years working at Nashua photo and at other jobs, making many cherished friends along the way with whom she enjoyed spending time.

She loved the beach and any time with her family. In any way possible she would help her children and their friends, whatever the chaos they brought. She loved her children completely; they were her life and purpose.

She leaves behind many who will treasure her memory, including her father; sons, Brett VanMeter and Chase VanMeter; granddaughter, Iris Mae VanMeter; sister, Beverly “Sue” Boice (Ed); nephew, Skyler Boice; and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Board.
