Robin Louise Smith Scott, 42, of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was born on October 15, 1983, in Marietta, Ohio, to Jak Louden and Betty Kathryn Stephens Smith.
Robin was a proud graduate of Parkersburg High School, where she participated in the Big Red Band and formed many lifelong friendships. She was married for 16 years and was the mother of her pride and joy, her son, Louden David Scott. Over the years, she worked at Fruth’s Pharmacy and Dudley’s Florist, but her greatest passion was art.
Creative from an early age, Robin was known for her exceptional artistic talent. She designed logos for numerous school clubs, including a soccer team in Texas, and created parade floats, posters, banners, signs, murals, and Christmas ornaments. Her work spanned many mediums, including pencil, ink, clay, flowers, and whatever else was needed to bring a vision to life. Robin had a deep love for nature, her family, and above all, her son, Louden.
Those who knew Robin will remember her most for her extraordinary empathy and compassion for others.
In addition to her parents and son, Robin is survived by her sisters, Juli A. Harmon of Washington, West Virginia, and Mindi D. Seaman of Lakewood, Colorado; a niece, Katelyn Smith; a nephew, Garrett Bailey; her former husband, father of her son, David T. Scott; a grand-niece; four grand-nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a close friend, Zoey Large. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louden O. and Dorothy M. Smith and Orla F. and Blanche B. Stephens; her infant sister, Andrea Marie Smith; her aunt, Beryl Dye; her uncle, Bill Wright Sr.; her cousin, Stephen Dye; and her fiancé, Carl Sprout.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Trinity Christian Church, 2406 Tenth Avenue, South Parkersburg. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 p.m.
