Roxie Hutson Acors

Roxie Ann Lowers Hutson Acors, 81, of Parkersburg went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Willows Center.

She was born in Parkersburg, last remaining child of the late Okey and Icie Nichols Lowers.

Roxie loved singing and listening to music, especially Elvis and gospel music. She enjoyed shopping and spending time visiting with her family.

Her beloved family will carry her memory, including her children, Brenda Nelson, Jeffery Hutson, Sandra Kennedy, Tammy Hutson (Ron), Timothy Hutson, and Paula Hawkins (Robb); ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special friends, Kathy Dennis and Betty Vaughan.

In addition to her parents, Roxie was preceded in death by two husbands, Gale Hutson, and John Acors; two daughters, Beverly Hutson and Cheryl Hutchinson; and five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Hendershot officiating. Services will conclude with interment at Evergreen South Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
