Wanda Virginia Spencer

Wanda Virginia "Granny" Spencer, 101 of Parkersburg passed away April 2, 2016 at Cemden Clark Medical Center. She was born November 26, 1914 at Clarksburg a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Ila Simmons Price. Granny attended the Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. Survivors include one son Billy Joe Spencer of Morgantown, and 4 daughters Patsy Bell of Belpre, Janet Spencer of Parkersburg, Helen Sommerville of Reedy, WV, and Ann Still of Parkersburg, 13 Grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, 56 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Oakford B Spencer, one son James Patrick Spencer, one daughter Hazel Jean Adams, four brothers Myrlen Price, Leroy Price, Grandville Price, and James Lott one sister Blondeline "Peg" Robinson and two grandchildren Susan Bell and Rusty Sommerville. Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services at 11 Am Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St Parkersburg with the Rev Bob Kniley officiating, burial will follow at Spencer Memorial Cemetery , Roane County WV, Visitation will be held Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and two hours prior to services on Wednesday The famiy would like to thank Dr Avery, Tiffany Jones, and staff, and the Nurses of 5N at Camden Clark Medical Center.
