Wilma Joann Boso, 89, of Washington, West Virginia went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, with family by her side.

She was born on November 8, 1936, in Wadesville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ira Hartzell Sams and Alice Wigal Sams.

Wilma graduated in 1953 from Parkersburg High School. She was an active member of the Fairview Global Methodist Church, a member of the Red Hat Society, and Wilma bowled in the Tuesday AM league at Emerson Bowling Lanes for many years.

She and her late husband, Melvin Harold Boso, were owners of family businesses for over sixty years, including Home and Industrial Landscaping and Boso Equipment.

Wilma is survived by three sons, Ted (Amy) Boso, Tom (Cheryl) Boso , and Tony (Mollie) Boso; seven grandchildren, Justin (Shyla) Boso, Angie (Jon) Wotring, Katty (Craig) Gilbert, Jason (Tristin) Boso, Megan (Alex) Robinson, Brandon (Lindsey) Boso, and Brittany (Steffan) Affolter; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brock, Kyrstin, Lydia, Paiten, Ryan, Corey, Kameron (Myshelle), Bryce (Katlyn), Cassidy, Sterling, Adalynn, Blake, Lexi, Ellie, and baby Robinson on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Melvin Harold Boso; her infant brother, Richard Sams; brothers, Ray Sams and his wife, Bonnie, and Darrell Sams and his wife, Wanda; and one daughter-in-law, Debbie Boso.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Kelley officiating. Services will conclude with interment at Sunset Memory Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026, and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.

Her family would like to give a special thanks to all the health care providers at DaVita Dialysis, Wyngate, Encompass, and Camden Clark Medical Center for seeing to her health care needs.
